StackStreet is a new online publishing platform that is aimed specifically at the Millennial generation and I am pleased to say that I have been asked to write for them!
StackStreet is based on the notion that there is a market for online business news specifically aimed at the Millennial generation.
It has been growing rapidly in popularity since launching 12 months ago and the website has some pretty big plans. It is aiming to become the Millennial ‘Forbes’ in a few years time.

I have a keen interest in Millennials (Gen Y) because I am one of them! Just. I was born in 1982 so that means that I just manage to sneak into the Gen Y category.
A lot has been said about the Millennial generation on social media these past few years. Some of it good. Some (most) of it bad. We have been labelled lazy, entitled and spoilt. That said, however, Millennials are also most likely the first ever generation to work for something other than a purely a wage. This is something I mention in my post about what really motivates us here.
Millennials have a different approach when it comes to searching for a new job. A large majority of us are tech-savvy. We use social media extensively. We look at our careers differently to other generations such as Baby Boomers or Gen X.
We are far from perfect. Hence why the Millennial generation comes with quite the reputation!
Over the coming months, I plan on writing lots of new content that is specifically aimed at helping Millennial job seekers achieve more success in the jobs market.
When I was asked to write for StackStreet, I will be honest… I had never heard of them! However, after digging into what they are all about, I am excited to be on board as one of StackStreet’s top 100 influencers. StackStreet has only been around for the past 12 months, however, with some of the fantastic writers / contributors they already have on board such as J.T. O’Donnell and Michael Mantell, Ph.D, it is destined for great things (no pressure!).
I will keep you all updated on my StackStreet adventures!
